How it works

1. Apply (it’s free). You fill out a short application and choose your closet tier. Vivrelle reviews it and approves you.
2. Pick your piece. Browse the collection filtered by your tier, designer, color or occasion. New items are added constantly.
3. It ships to you. Standard shipping and returns are included in your membership. Faster UPS options cost extra, and every delivery needs a signature. Live in NYC? You can arrange pickup at their Midtown location.
4. Keep it as long as you want. The minimum is 30 days, but there’s no return date. Fall in love with a bag? Keep it for months.
5. Swap. After 30 days, return your item with the prepaid label and order the next one. Your new piece ships once they receive the old one.
6. Buy it, if you can’t let go. Members get discounted prices on anything in the closet, and part of your membership fees goes toward the purchase.

Every item is authenticated, inspected and cleaned before it goes out. Some pieces are brand new, others are vintage with gentle signs of wear, so check the listing.

Membership prices (2026)

Here’s the real breakdown, straight from Vivrelle (plus tax):

• Classique: $139/month. One item at a time, retail value under $4,000.
• Couture: $239/month. One item at a time, retail value over $4,000, including rare and limited-edition pieces.
• Classique+: $249/month. Two items at a time from the Classique closet.
• Couture+: $339/month. Two items at a time: one Classique and one Couture.
• Premier add-on: $49/month. One extra item per month from a selection of jewelry (up to $1,000 retail) and select handbags.
• Réservé add-on: $800/month (invite-only). The ultra-luxury closet: Hermès Birkin and Kelly, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bvlgari Serpenti.

The fine print (because I’ll always be transparent)

• Three-month minimum. You commit to at least three months before you can cancel.
• Damage coverage. Normal wear and tear is included. Accidental damage beyond that means a deductible, unless you add the upgraded coverage for $18/month. If you’re a little clumsy like me, it’s worth it.
• Freeze option. Traveling or taking a break? You can freeze your membership for $10/month.
• US only. Vivrelle currently ships within the United States.

Is it worth it?
